| PRICE |
|
Certified
divers: 65,000 Won (you must show proof of certification)
Non-certified divers: 85,000 Won (includes training)
Price includes: aquarium admission, equipment rental, tank rental,
dive instruction for non-divers, and guided shark dive. Prices
are set by the aquarium. Scuba In Korea has no input
on pricing policies. Scuba In Korea is an
independent dive club that participates in the shark diving tours
run by Busan Aquarium. None of Scuba In Korea's members
are affiliated with, or employed by, Busan Aquarium.
Reservations
will be made on a first paid basis. A 40,000 won ($50 USD if you
use PayPal) non-refundable deposit per diver is
required to make a reservation. If you wish to cancel the dive,
we require 72 hours notice. If we do not receive 72 hours notice,
or if you are a 'no-show' on the day of the dive, your deposit
will be lost. If you give us 72 hours notice, we will apply your
deposit to a future reservation. Deposits will be refunded to
divers in the event of a cancellation on the part of 'Scuba In
Korea' or Busan Aquarium. The difference in price between Korean
won and U.S. dollars is caused by the exchange rate, currency
exchange fees and PayPal service fees.
This policy is in effect because
our organizers need to travel for several hours to reach Busan
Aquarium, and we have had an unacceptable number of no-shows in
the past. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Further,
when we tell the aquarium that we would like to come, they have
to turn away other clubs. If they turn other clubs away, and then
we don't show up, it doesn't look good.
SCUBA IN KOREA CANNOT accept payment by credit card. We are
an amateur dive club and are not set up for that kind of service.
We can only accept the balance of your shark dive fee in cash,
in Korean won. Sorry for an inconvenience this might cause. The
balance will be paid to Busan Aquarium directly on dive day. We
cannot accpet the cash.

| LOCATION |
All
shark dives are conducted in the 3 million liter, 5 meter deep,
main tank of Busan Aquarium.
Busan Aquarium is located right on beautiful Haeundae Beach in Busan.
Haeundae has its own subway station (on the green line) and is 22
stops from Busan Station (with one transfer). You can find a map
of the Busan Subway system here.
Haeundae also has its own Korea National Railroad station. You can
get direct service to/from Ulsan, Daegu, Daejeon and Seoul (among
others). Be aware that these trains are less frequent than those
coming/going from Busan Station and that there is no KTX service
from Haeundae Station.
A taxi from Busan Station will cost around 10,000 Won. |

| WHAT
YOU MUST BRING |
*
Divers must provide their own swimwear and towels (wetsuits provided
by aquarium)
* Certified divers MUST present their c-cards. Non-divers must bring
official picture ID.
* A camera is good idea
* If you wear glasses, you cannot wear them under the mask. We recommend
that you bring contact lenses. It's not very fun if you can't see
anything. |

| TRAINING |
| Training
for non-certified divers will be conducted on site by an experienced,
English-speaking, professional dive instructor. Training is conducted
in water shallow enough to stand up in. Training will be conducted
at a pace that is comfortable for the divers. Non-divers will participate
in either the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program or the NAUI Try
Scuba Diving program. Neither of these programs are dive certification
